Pressure booster sets for the supply of firefighting systems.

These are pressure booster sets that are intended to supply the designated water flow at a suitable pressure at different supply points of a general firefighting installation.

Specifically, he design of the unit must be in accordance with the corresponding fire protection regulations. The set will be designed in one or another configuration of pumping equipment according to the customer’s requirements.

Essentially, the unit will contain a main flow supply pump for the installation, with an electric motor. Optionally, it will have a reserve pump of the same characteristics with electric or diesel motor. This pump will operate when the main pump, for any reason, is not functioning. Finally, the unit will be equipped with a jockey or auxiliary pump, responsible for keeping the installation pressurized at all times and, in addition, will be activated in the event of small leakages.

Additionally, the sets will incorporate different elements in common such as:

  • Electrical panels: their main function is to protect, control and operate the different elements of the firefighting set.
  • Pressure switches: a regulated device that, depending on the pressure reading taken, starts the hydraulic pumps.
  • Safety valve: it prevents overpressure in the circuit.

On one hand,  the regulations to which we can adhere to:

  • EN 12845:2016
  • UNE 23500:90
  • UNE 23500:2012
  • UNE 23500:2012 (Annex C)
  • UNE 23500:2018
  • UNE 23500:2018 Appendix 6.4
  • UNE 23500:2018 Appendix 6.5
  • CEPREVEN RT2-ABA

On the other hand, the configurations we can provide:

    • E+J: They consist of a centrifugal or multistage pump with an electric motor to supply the flow rate required by the installation, and a jockey pump to keep the installation always pressurized.
    • E+D+J: They consist of two centrifugal or multistage pumps or a combination of both, one with an electric motor and the other with a diesel motor, to supply the flow rate required by the installation; and a jockey pump to keep the installation pressurized at all times.
    • E+E+J: Consisting of two centrifugal or multistage pumps, or a combination, both equipped with an electric motor to supply the flow rate required by the system, and a jockey pump to keep the system pressurized at all times.
